New Headshots Are In!
Got headshots updated recently and couldn’t be happier. I worked with the incredibly talented Kayvon at Vanie Poyey Photography in Los Angeles.
Kayvon was a blast and helped guide my strategy to hone the looks and types I wanted to portray.
As an actor you have to understand how you are most marketable and then overlay that with the strengths of your craft. These things can change as you and/or the market changes.
One thing I’m competitive in are a few commercial markets - Mom, upbeat, bright, best friend, approachable, fun. Many of these shots can also double as theatrical headshots
Another area I like to have fun in is as a bad-ass professional. This can be a high-powered lawyer, knowledgeable CEO, and almost, most definitely a type-A who knows her stuff.
And then there’s victim - or for me, that means a character with a darker emotional depth. Perhaps someone who just found out the love of their life just died, or they just lost their home in a terrible event, or they struggle with mental health and are hitting a breaking point.
But where I tend to shine are a quirky best-friend/side kick that’s gonna be in your corner, while also telling you what’s what. Just like the perfect best friend should do. I love these types of roles!
And finally, a loving, vulnerable, and caring caregiver/mother-figure. She’ll give you a hug and listen to you no matter what.
And I can’t forget a huge shout-out to Savannah Smolko for the perfectly natural make-up and assistance with hair styling.
